Thread: Aviation Formula Work book

    Default Aviation Formula Work book

    I always seemed to be using Excel to make some spreadsheet for some project or task. So a couple of years ago I started putting them all into one workbook. Andy has allowed me to upload it for all of you to use.

    Feel free to use this workbook as you see fit. Note that there is no warranty, guarantee, agreement, suggestion, proof that the formulas are right, or 250 other legal terms for its use. It is totally as is where is. I know there must be mistakes within the formulas, so please be careful when using the data. Hopefully it will help some of you do some tasks.

    On each sheet, the white boxes are for input data, the green boxes are the computed results. Yes, all of the other boxes are locked and the formulas hidden. Trust me, some of the “if” statements are really scary.

    These formulas are for reference only. All computed data should be checked against approved data.

    Have fun!

    While that link to that program and the spreadsheet is great. It seems you aren't always next to a computer when you need that info. Here is 3 things I carry with me at all times.

    http://www.amazon.com/Pocket-Ref-Tho.../dp/1885071000

    http://www.amazon.com/Uglys-Electric...2370483&sr=1-1

    That PDA is the greatest tool in the world. I much prefer to log the pains of others and jot it down in my PDA rather than go find an Electrical problem of my own and not know where to turn. You can't beat it when it comes to troubleshooting. With the power of Microsoft Word, cut & paste from your internet broswer, and Adobe Acrobat for a PDF. You can make a fully searchable PDF to upload to your PDA for troubleshooting. It's far more accurate than my brain housing group.

    Let me add, I don't hoard that knowledge. That would be unethical. If somebody thinks I might have the answer, I look it up. All you have to do is ask.

    Also, I was reading over this post again. I wasn't trying to up one on anybody. I was throwing that out there in case someone else finds that usefull.

    I'm planning on updating the work book, is there anything that would be helpful to add?

    Exclamation

    I have been trying for quite some time to either download and open the saved file or just 'open' the workbook. But everytime, I get following Excel message;

    'aviationformulas.xls' cannot be accessed, the file may be corrupted, located on a server that is not responding, or read only. "Retry / Cancel"

    This has been happenning for quite some time, I am not certain what is wrong here, could somebody please try to confirm above and fix the problem.

    Thank you.
